We'd had great plans for these last two days and nights of our oldest Jenny being home with us. She and I were headed towards the Monterey Bay Aquarium yesterday, and today she would have gone to a tech museum with Collin while I hung out with a girlfriend in San Francisco looking at art and enjoying good food.
We had to cancel all because of a lousy, gooey, flowing kind of cold. Both of us have it.
But if we hadn't been kept at home, I wouldn't have watched a Star Trek movie with Collin and Jenny, we wouldn't have played a Scrabble or talked at a leisurely pace. If well, I would have spent many hours concentrating on staying in my lane and getting somewhere fast. But I think I did get somewhere, staying home, staying low, drinking tea. It's been good.
